Made with soft wool and natural dyes deriving from poppy, pomegranate, rose and saffron, the warm pink, red and orange hues in this piece are paired with the unmistakable patterned borders featuring traditional Amazigh motifs, which are a defining feature of such tribal rugs which were hand-woven by local matriarchal artisans of the community. This Boujaad rug has been sourced from the Haouz region in the Middle Atlas Mountains and dates back to the 1960's. Medium pile, tassels on one side.
